Industry partners

The industry partners are those who have signed an Engage Letter of Intent, agreeing to make specific inputs into the KTN, such as: sitting on the Awards Board; offering advice to PhD candidates or other researchers; helping to define the ATM concepts roadmap for future industry needs not currently being addressed; getting involved in defining the thematic challenges and corresponding workshops; participating in the SESAR Innovation Days and reviewing submitted papers. These partners include those informing and advising policy-making in Europe, reflecting the regulatory and policy context as an extremely important factor in determining the evolution of the ATM landscape.

Awards Board

The Awards Board comprises fixed members from the consortium, the SJU, ASDA and NEXTOR II, with rotating membership from the industry partners. Each institution has one vote. The Awards Board will primarily vote on awards of PhDs/theses and of catalyst funds, in addition to other matters deemed to comprise an award, or as may be requested within the operation of the KTN by the SJU. Interdisciplinary experts may also be consulted. As a safeguard of neutrality, the Awards Board will be permanently chaired by EUROCONTROL, which has no financial interest in any of the decisions made and which will have a deciding vote in any split decisions.

On matters of potential conflict of interest, members shall abstain. Consortium members cannot vote on any award, for which they are a (co-)applicant (e.g. regarding PhDs/theses) and they are ineligible to apply for any catalyst funding.
